If you like having fresh and nutritious eggs for your breakfast then it may be a good idea building a chicken coop in your backyard. Now it is possible to build a chicken house using quality material that is inexpensive. Here are the mistakes to avoid:
1) Space: Before you buy any material and start building a chicken coop make sure you have enough space in your backyard.

2) Positioning: Consider the direction and place you want to have the chicken house carefully.

3) Protection: Never under estimates the damage those predators can cause to your chickens. Have proper protection in the house run so that animals cannot dig underground.

4) Moisture removal: Cold weather and moisture can make your hens fall sick. When building a chicken house, decide how you will dry the house after a wash.

5) Lighting: Depending on the size of the chicken house decide the number of lights you will require.

 6) Nesting: For the hens to lay eggs you will require nests. This step is extremely important when building a chicken coop.
